"Sinterklaas" for our Aussie cobbers.......

A message for our Aussie cobbers innercity or far away in the outback of beyond also VPN-proxy-reading this brilliant dutchie Edward van de Vendel Blog, 'try learning our difficult Dutch language.

G'day mates.....By way of exception I write this special post for you all in english...so very rarely. But this is a sort of friendly invitation 'be so kind joining us. We're celebrating "Sinterklaas" tomorrow evening December 5th with all our family and also our Aussie neighbours. Percival, Leroy, Sean, and Sydney and their parents they're also with us. As you already know "Sinterklaas" is an old dutch celebration that is somewhat similar to the celebration of Christmas. An old man called "Sinterklaas" visits the Netherlands with his "Zwarte Pieten" and he brings along lots of presents for everyone. Every present has a poem that has to be read before the reciever opens the present, and in the poem "Sinterklaas" reviews some things that the reciever has done right or wrong in the past year. Thats very funny..... I still have to write all my poems for tomorrow so I think I'm going to get up early tomorrow you know. Some of the presents of "Sinterklaas" are also packed into a surprise. We draw someone from the family and you have to make a surprise for him/her. Most of the time this is something that also reflects something that person has done in the past and where you can make a lot of fun about. Luckily the surprises that Lennart, me and others have to make for tomorrow are almost finished.

Please do call or email us for a comment.........

CU and Bye Bye,

Maikel & Lennart and all their family
